Team Leader - Team Leader (FT) - Language & Vocational Assessment

Compensation: Salary $50 - $75,000

Job Summary
As a Team Leader with the Language Assessment, Referral, and Counselling Centre (LARCC), you will provide leadership, supervision, and support to staff to ensure successful program delivery and outcomes.
Your excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, technical skills with computer software applications, and creative problem-solving abilities will make you effective in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the centre including shift scheduling/coverage, direct client service delivery, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Supervise and provide leadership, training, and support to a multidisciplinary group of team members.
- Monitor performance of staff working in a variety of roles and conduct regular coaching conversations and performance appraisals.
- Ensure accurate and complete data entry, develop performance reports, and report on key metrics.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and orientation process of new team members.
- Prepare and submit relevant reports to the Program Manager in a timely manner.
- Develop guidelines and implement new procedures and processes.
- Plan targeted marketing, outreach, and promotional activities of LARCC’s programs and services to increase awareness and to reach out to key audiences.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the agency in a professional manner at various community groups and committees to promote good public relations at all times.
- Perform other duties as required.
What This Job Requires:
- Degree in Education/Human Services/Social Sciences/Social Work or equivalent
- Over 2 years of supervisory experience is considered an asset.
- Experience working with newcomers to Canada is an asset
- Certification with the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks (CCLB) and/or Achēv is an asset
