Using Roshi.ai to generate Real-World Assessments

Jan 21, 2025

ATESL Central and Edmonton Chapters invite you to join us on January 21, 2025 at 5 PM MST.

Description

This workshop explores how AI-powered tools can help teachers create speaking exercises that include realistic texts and targeted criteria.

The tool we will use for this is Roshi.ai, which was developed by the presenter for LINC teachers.

Participants will learn how to use AI to create dialogues and monologues that reflect a range of voices, accents, and speech patterns. They will also learn how to generate real-world texts such as receipts, labels, and business cards.

We’ll cover specific adaptations such as the following:

● Creating dialogues and monologues with fine-tuned speech (pauses, accents, speed etc.)

● Generating formatted documents that simulate those in the real world

● Adding questions, tasks prompts and criteria based on the CLB
