Let’s Talk About Space to Learn: Developing Trauma-Aware Practice

Many of the learners in our classrooms have experienced trauma in their lives. In this workshop, we will explore the possible impact of trauma on learning and discuss strategies for trauma-aware practice for classroom instructors.

We will approach this topic gently, with a little humour and understanding, and a focus on teaching.

Discussion topics will include:

How can we make our classrooms safer spaces?
How can we build inclusive and effective learning environments?
