Cracking the Code: A Guide for Constructive Rubric

Feb 28, 2025

Friday, February 28th, from 4-6 pm online

ATESL Central Alberta would like to invite all ATESL members to attend this online presentation by Herly Cervera.

Presentation Description

Are you in search of the right rubric to assess your students? Have you ever asked whether a well-structured rubric could transform the way you assess student performance and engagement? Would you like to find a way to ensure your evaluations were not only comprehensive but also inspiring for your learners? Then, let's look into ways to create a rubric that fits your specific needs. I'm excited to share my innovative, teacher-generated rubric, designed to address the unique skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Let this dynamic tool utilize the power of meeting the diverse needs of your learners using the ABCs of rubrics—Appropriateness, Balance, and Clarity—to crack the code of effective assessments. It does not only adapt effortlessly to students' levels but also ensures that every evaluation is both meaningful and impactful, putting you in complete control of the entire process.
